We were looking at painting our house and found Ryan, who gave us a competitive quote and did fantastic job. Great work ethic and time management was good too. Would highly recommend his service. He also managed all the clear out all the furniture and put them back in order.

Highly recommend these decorators. Ryan decorated whole house which the tenant had left in an awful state of repair including vintage denim colour in hallway and halfway up the stairs and landing presumably just to where she could reach.
The place is now like a new house.
I am immensely grateful for his expertise and dedication regarding his work.
Definitely recommend.

  • We hand your brief straight to your decorator, so nothing gets lost in a second retelling.

  • You deal with them directly for the work itself and for the guarantee that backs it.

We make the introduction and stay on hand; they do the work and stand behind it.

Home Renovation Services

Your decorator coordinates full-property decorating across every room, covering interior, exterior, and specialist surfaces.

Full Interior Renovation

A full interior renovation covers every room in sequence. Your decorator coordinates the order of rooms to minimise disruption and allows each phase to dry before adjacent rooms are started. Realistic timings for each stage are on the page about how long it takes to decorate a house.

Period properties in Earlsdon, Kenilworth, and Royal Leamington Spa need individual surface assessment room by room. See our interior painting page for the full detail.

Kitchen and Bathroom

Kitchen and bathroom surfaces require washable and moisture-resistant finishes respectively. These rooms also tend to have more complex surfaces including tiles, cabinets, and specialist woodwork.

Your decorator includes kitchens and bathrooms in the renovation scope. Surface types are assessed separately and primed with the appropriate product.

Extension and Loft Conversion

Extensions and loft conversions add newly plastered surfaces alongside existing period or post-war construction. New plasterboard needs a sealing coat before any emulsion. Blending the new room into the old ones is covered on the page about decorating after an extension.

Your decorator handles the transition between new and old finishes as part of the renovation brief. This includes conservatory painting in Coventry, where glazed frames and UPVC surfaces require specialist preparation.

Pre-Sale Refurbishment

A fully decorated property sells faster and for more money. Your decorator regularly prepares properties for sale across Coventry and the surrounding premium suburbs.

Kenilworth Victorian detached and Royal Leamington Spa period properties are popular candidates for pre-sale refurbishment. Your decorator also takes on pre-sale renovation work in Stratford-upon-Avon, where character properties often benefit from a fresh scheme before listing. Where executors are handling the sale, see the page about probate house decorating in Coventry.

Period Property Restoration

Victorian and Edwardian properties in Earlsdon, Chapelfields, and Kenilworth need approaches suited to original materials. Lime plaster walls need breathable primers.

Your decorator has worked on period properties across Coventry for over a decade. The preparation differences from modern construction are well understood.

The Renovation Process

1. Site Visit and Project Scope

Your decorator visits the property and assesses all rooms. Your decorator agrees the complete scope, flags surface conditions, and discusses the sequence of work.

2. Surface Preparation

Lime plaster is treated with compatible primers. Newly plastered surfaces get a sealing coat. Existing surfaces are cleaned, filled, and sanded as required.

3. Sequencing by Room

Rooms are completed in an agreed sequence. Upper floors typically first, then ground floor. Wet rooms last, after ventilation is confirmed.

4. Paint Application

Each room is completed from ceiling to skirting board. Trade paints are standard. Heritage ranges are available on request.

5. Final Property Walkthrough

On completion, your decorator inspects every room and every surface. Touch-ups are completed before the walkthrough. You confirm the finished work before your decorator leaves.

Home Renovation Costs in Coventry

Prices below are estimates only. Every property is different. Call 024 7542 6652 for a precise quote.

Freshly plastered room ready for decorating in Coventry by Godiva Decorators (in progress)

What Drives the Price

Property size and room count. A 2-bed post-war terrace in Canley has significantly fewer rooms than a 4-bed Kenilworth Victorian detached.

Surface condition. Properties that have not been decorated for years need significantly more preparation than a modern property.

Specification. Standard trade paints versus heritage ranges make a meaningful difference to material cost.

Typical Ranges

  • Full interior renovation (post-war terrace, Canley, 2-bed): £2,500 to £4,200.
  • Full interior with pre-sale refurb (1960s semi, Finham, 3-bed): £4,000 to £6,500.
  • Full interior renovation (Georgian terrace, Royal Leamington Spa): £5,500 to £9,000+.

Trade Insight

Royal Leamington Spa Georgian and Regency properties have large rooms with high ceilings and original plaster cornices. The volume of wall area makes these projects considerably larger than similarly priced Coventry properties.
